With the handy kinpen, surfaces are cleaned, disinfected or activated
at atmospheric pressure. The device works especially well for the
surface treatment of temperature-sensitive materials such as plastics.
In addition, geometrically complex surfaces, such as narrow gaps, holes
or fine capillaries are easily accessible. The standard version of the kinpen is operated with air or argon. Adding mixtures of reducing or oxidizing gases is also possible. In addition, the electrode head of the unit is easily and quickly interchangeable in order to retool between operations with molecular gases such as air or nitrogen and argon. By using various supplements, complex gas mixtures can be introduced to the plasma as well as film-forming gases.
